How we estimate the hours
Work Neuro did in a real run (United States, 27 September 2026) × published times for a person doing the same task. Low end shown (41–53 h). Neuro’s own time: not stated until measured.
- Brysbaert (2019), meta-analysis of 190 studies, Journal of Memory and Language: “average silent reading rate for adults in English is 238 words per minute for non-fiction”
- Backlinko, 11.8 million Google results: “the average word count of a Google top 10 result is 1,447 words”
- Jenova, AI for ecommerce product research (2025-12-20), citing Shopify: “3-5 hours – Typical time investment for manually researching a single product idea”
- Ideontics, Competitor analysis in 5 steps: “Budget five to seven hours.”
- TariffLens: “You shouldn't need 30 minutes to classify a single entry.”
- ContentGrip, How to vet influencers (2026-05-04): “The six manual checks above take 20 to 45 minutes per creator when done carefully.”
Assumptions
- Read the market's Google search terms: each row = a search term (≈ 3 words) + volume, 12-month trend, competition and cost per click ≈ 7 words
Not counted
- Supplier due diligence, 80–120 hours per product: includes samples and contract negotiation, which Neuro does not do
- Thorough creator vetting, 9 hours per profile: includes audits Neuro does not run
- Manual keyword research, 5–10 keywords an hour: that is finding and validating each keyword; Neuro filters the 36,713 terms, it does not validate each one in depth

Computed by the dossier’s own code. Marketing is budgeted at 20% of product cost; ads are never in the verdict. Amazon fees: Amazon’s 2026 US rate card, checked 27 September 2026; not included: the $39.99/month plan, inbound placement, peak-season rates. The worked example uses screening duty rates; a dossier reads the official schedule. Bubble dome tent: real run 27 September 2026, 51 sources, official US duty 6306.22.90. Straight answers.
Do you contact suppliers or creators for me?
No, you stay in control. The dossier gives you ready-to-send messages: a quote request in English and Chinese, a reminder and a negotiation reply for suppliers, and an email, DM and follow-up for each creator, with an offer worked out from your product's profit. You send them.
Do you guarantee the product will sell?
No. It is research, not financial advice. What we guarantee is delivery and evidence: every listed section, or your money back; and fewer than 3 suppliers with a verifiable public contact means we research again free, then a full refund if still short.
What if I don’t like the product?
You choose. The free match gives you 3 opportunities; if none fit, change your profile and run it again. The dossier researches the one you pick in depth and ranks 2 alternates with why they came second. It can also say “not recommended”, with the reasons.
What if a product doesn’t pass?
You still get a decision you can trust. Each opportunity shows its verdict and the numbers behind it: factory price, freight, official duty, delivery, fees and profit. When a number still needs a supplier’s confirmation, the dossier says “Needs supplier quotes” and lists what to ask. A “no” backed by numbers saves you a first order.
What is free?
Your research profile now, and an Opportunity Match when our first public research run opens: 3 product opportunities for your market and budget; preliminary scores from 10 of the 42 criteria; demand trend, price range and the best place to sell; real counts: suppliers, creators, videos. We email you the day it opens.
What does it cost?
$9: limited time, from the day we open. $19: until the store platform launches. $49: from the store launch. One-time, per dossier. Buy before the store launches and you get 30% off the SiteNeuro store for your first year.
How do you count profit?
Full cost = every cost of one sale except marketing: factory, shipping, import duty, delivery, card fees and returns. A product must make 50%+ profit over that full cost. Marketing is budgeted at 20% of the cost, so a $100 cost needs a $150 price and leaves $30. Ads never decide the verdict.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Everything listed, or your money back: if a listed section is missing, tell us within 14 days of delivery; we add it within 72 hours or refund in full. Plus the evidence guarantee: under 3 suppliers with a verifiable public contact, we research again, then refund. Neither covers whether a product sells.
Which countries can I research?
United States, United Kingdom, Germany (EU), Canada, Australia and United Arab Emirates. Duty comes from each market's official tariff: the US, UK, EU (for Germany), Canada and Australia schedules; the UAE uses the GCC's general 5% rate.
Is this Amazon FBA research?
No. The numbers are for your own store. Marketplaces are one data source among 13.
Where does the data come from?
Google Ads keyword data, Google Trends, Google Shopping, Amazon, Alibaba, AliExpress, US customs records, USITC tariff schedule, UK Trade Tariff, UN Comtrade, YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. Every number shows its source and date.
Is my business listed in a dossier?
Dossiers list public business information only: supplier listings and their public business contacts, and creators' public profiles with a business email they publish. To be left out, use the removal page at siteneuro.com/ecommerce/removal: new dossiers stop including you from that day.
Who is Neuro?
SiteNeuro's research system, not a person. Neuro does the work of seven specialists: product researcher, market analyst, sourcing agent, tariff researcher, financial analyst, marketing strategist, compliance screener. Every number it finds carries a source and a date.
How do you estimate the expert hours?
We multiply the work Neuro did in a real run by published times for a person doing the same task, and show the low end. The method and every source are on this page. Tasks Neuro does not do are not counted.
How is this different from a product database?
A database lists products. We give a verdict for your market and budget, the profit after every cost and a marketing budget, graded factories, 10 best-fit creators, and what would change the answer. We show what we rejected.
What’s in the free playbook, and how is it different from a free guide?
It is built from our own product checks and official sources, and every number is dated: why most popular US products fail, what one sale really costs with 2026 duty in the US, UK and Germany, the rules that cost new sellers money in each country, and the free tools for each way of selling. The full playbook (13 chapters) comes with every Launch Dossier.
